L2 (Minitia) Architecture

Minitias are the L2 application chains in the Omnitia system. They are full-featured CosmosSDK blockchains that are settled through optimistic rollups. Minitias boast 500ms block times with 10,000+ transactions per second.

Transactions occuring on the L2 layer are sequenced through MiniMint, which enable bulk block byte settlement to the L1 and Celestia while enabling challengers to view app hash differences.

Minitia Out-of-the-Box Features

Currently RaaS solutions provide remarkable app-chain flexibility, but there still remains tens of additional infrastructural burdens associated with modular systems. Typical examples include fiat rails, CEX support, data pipelines, bridges, and more. The Initia Platform ensures that these burdens are solved from day 1 through specialized use of the Layer 1. It serves to organize data and offer support for these critical services directly to L2s so that application developers can focus purely on building a successful product.

By reducing choice overload and making pointed integration decisions upfront, Minitia L2’s provide a comprehensive set of features that come out-of-the-box that an application developer would expect to have access to on day 1. Highlights include instant bridging, native USDC and CCTP access, token fungibility across Minitia’s regardless of VM choice, oracle interfaces, fiat rails, developer tooling, and frontend widgets to minimize barriers to entry for end users. Additionally, Initia provides well-crafted user products designed to promote consistency across the network of interconnected L2 applications.

The following is a full list of the features available on Day 1 to application developers launching their product on a Minitia:

  1. Minitia Specifications

    • 10,000+ TPS & 500ms blocks

    • IBC Cosmos Interoperability

    • Omnitia Shared Security

    • Celestia DA

    • MoveVM, WasmVM, or EVM support

  2. Initia Native Features

    • Vested Interest Program (VIP)

    • Initia Kickbacks (CSR)

    • Omnitia Messaging Module

    • Omnitia Fungible Tokens

    • Inter-Minitia Swap Routing

    • Multiple gas-fee denoms

  3. Initia Tooling

    • InitiaSDK & WalletSDK

    • 1-Click Deposit Widget from Any Chain

    • Usernames

    • Initiascan

  4. Third-Party Services

    • Metamask, Keplr, Leap, and Initia Wallet support

The OPinit Stack is the first optimistic rollup framework built for Cosmos and follows the similar design principles to . Unlike Optimism's framework, the OPinit Stack is VM-agnostic, meaning that each Minitia is able to support any one of the currently available virtual machines: MoveVM and WasmVM (EVM to be released in early Q1 2024 during public testnet).

Given that these Mintias a full-fledged CosmosSDK chains but with consensus ripped out, applications are still able to unlock next-generation modular rollup features via typical such and or even custom modules such as .
