  1. About Initia

What is the Initia Platform?

Initia is a network for 0-to-1 omnichain rollups to create a highly interwoven system of modular networks through architectural ownership of the L1, L2, and the communication layer.

Typical rollup-as-a-service (RaaS) products are disjointed and isolated pieces of infrastructure that are not conducive to building a suitable ecosystem of interconnected applications. Additionally, modular systems bear the hidden cost of developer and end-user complexity. In a world with hundreds of distinct pieces of modular infrastructure, the complexity of the product experience becomes exponentially more complicated.

Initia aims to eliminate the disjointed experience of RaaS and modular systems through full vertical integration of the technology stack, thereby enabling products to:

  • Build with best-in-class developer experience for all Web3 verticals in any VM

  • Standardize frameworks for communication across multiple rollups

  • Retain complete ownership of the economic value created

  • Cross-pollinate user bases across omnichain rollups

  • Align incentives of every class of end-user within the Initia ecosystem

By binding this novel infrastructure with well-crafted user products, the Initia Platform will enable a unified one-chain experience despite products living on different rollups and/or using different smart contracting environments. Initia aims to replicate a similar user experience seen when using an iOS- product. Applications falling in various categories, built by independent teams and consumed on different devices, are still interoperable through the common denominating iOS infrastructure. As a result, the user experience is smooth and unbroken despite the modular architecture of the iOS platform.
